well....it needs a little perfecting,

but the flavor was good.

(so long as you don't include the pregnant stomach in such talk)

  maybe i'll try it with a sourdough starter next time, though.

it was very soft and moist,

 but not quite as chewy as i had planned.

MY first Not ME! monday!

and surely not the LAST!

it definately was NOT ME who handed the little boy a lollipop before attacking his hair with scissors!

and while he sat there drooling....

 it certainly was NOT ME who laughed as the hair fell in to the puddles and stuck to his fingers...

no no, NOT ME!

 who let him finish this sticky hairy  drooly lollipop before plopping him in the bathtub!

yesterday

i had great plans of posting some amazing pictures of some really great men that i know in their uniforms...way back when.

i wanted to say, "thanks!"

but,

as usual, things didn't go exactally as planned. ( yeah, nothing new about that one.)

anyway, i spent the afternoon with one of those awesome guys, my dad.

we had a very...um...eventful day. one we won't likely forget.

  No, i still don't have any pictures to post of  handsome men in uniform...

but, i do have this....

and the memories of a day spent with my dad.

now...
im sending out a huge THANK YOU! to all who have served our country.

what a week we have had here!

lets just say it was not your usual run of the mill chaos.

no.

it was more like,chaos to the tenth power . yeah, that kind of chaos.

wow!

lets just say it has been interesting. very, very interesting.

but.......

i did celebrate my birthday on wednesday, and that was great!

complete with a surprise cake from my dear sister in law

 and

 a fun t-shirt from my dad

...it kinda sums things up around here, this week...oh, ok...most of the time.

oh and i also got a really cool wooden necklace...oh! and yeah. that beautiful rose i posted the other day.

yeah, it was an awesome week!
