Eleven?

last week..

my baby celebrated his eleventh birthday!!

wow.

actually, we celebrated twice...

(seems like this is starting to be a trend)

once, the day before with all his cousins.

this of course meant we needed to make a cake...

and EVERYONE needed to help.

the second birthday celebration was a little bit simpler.

since his real birthday fell on Ash Wednesday..

which is a day of fast and abstinence...

(this means no eating meat or eating between meals)

he had..

salmon cakes and homemade mac n cheese for dinner...

complete with singing and a candle.

..the saga continues

 i would have been lost without

my awesome cousin and my sister who flew  in from 3000 miles away..they didn't know i had plans for them *grin*

we worked all evening

and

took a little break for this...

then it was time to get back to work

at around 10:30 we left the cake looking like this...

on saturday, mary took care of the final details.

 i took care of some other important business upstairs..

i really, really cannot thank my dear cousin enough, oh and my sister, mellon too!

they are awesome!

we had SO much fun, just hanging out, and creating.

its such a bummer that 3000 miles keep us apart...gonna have to fix that someday.
