JamTots and PolkaDots

baby z was having a hard time deciding which of her JamTots cover to wear for her photoshoot.
she loves all her diapers.

in the end she decided to go with her
(its her mama's favorite color)

maybe gramma harv will make her a hat to match EACH of her diapers.
ya think?

my very own recipe...

proceed with caution:

it looks yummy...and my kids gave it a thumbs up.
they're my greatest critics.

a work in progress

...and its taking waaaaay to long to finish

so, since im not patient enough wait to show you the finished product...

i started with these...

used a little bit of this...

which made them look like this...

then i got a little distracted
 (yeah i do that sometimes)

last night after all the kids finally settled down, i acutally started cutting and this is where im at right now...

any guesses as to what i plan on making of this?

sometimes my blog sits on the back burner
can't imagine why.
maybe it has something to do with these little hands.

i promise, i do have a few new projects headed this way.
one involves old t-shirts, sharp scissors, and Rit dye.

DIY Birthday Bonnet or Center Piece for KIDS

a couple fun projects for those little fingers that like to keep busy

1. Cut Tissue Paper in to 12x12 squares. Use four or five sheets for each flower.

2. Fold accordion style

3. Gather in center and fasten with a pipe cleaner leaving a long stem

4. Gently pull each layer of paper apart

5. Fluff and shape into a "flower"

6. Repeat five or six times and twist stems together.
7. Add a yarn tie...

and....

BOLDLY MODEL YOUR CREATION!

or

for the more timid...

make your own center piece.

1. Follow the same steps as above...

2. Add a little exta charm by cutting the ends of your folded papers at an angle

3. Gently peel layers apart....

ever so gently

and....
enjoy an allergy free bouquet!

its laundry day!

oh wait. everyday is laundry day. oh, well...

here's a look at the prettier side of a not-so-pretty job.

see, even laundry day can be fun ...

when you fill it with some beautiful colors (and dalmation spots, of course).
