i've been planinng a semi-serious post about these hands...

how its my job to mold these hands ...

from start to finish...all by themselves.

Eleven?

last week..

my baby celebrated his eleventh birthday!!

wow.

actually, we celebrated twice...

(seems like this is starting to be a trend)

once, the day before with all his cousins.

this of course meant we needed to make a cake...

and EVERYONE needed to help.

the second birthday celebration was a little bit simpler.

since his real birthday fell on Ash Wednesday..

which is a day of fast and abstinence...

(this means no eating meat or eating between meals)

he had..

salmon cakes and homemade mac n cheese for dinner...

complete with singing and a candle.

as if life wasn't exciting enough

around here lately...

little miss z

 decided it would be fun to spend the week fighting off a little bit of bronchiolitis.

i must say that she enjoyed taking her medicine thoroughly....

 thanks to the help of her big brothers

i knew i was forgetting someone

...in the last post.

silly me.

who arrived just a teensy bit early...

she spent a couple extra days chillin in her awesome sunglasses

 at the hospital before she could come home

 but the kids did a fabulous job of making up for lost time in a matter of minutes..

there was much snuggling ...

smiling...

 inspecting, and comparing...

 more smiling...

more snuggling...

and tons of love..

when Peanut came home!

 She was born on January 20, 2012

weighing in at a whopping 6 lbs 6 oz

and 

measuring 19 1/2 inches.

(not to shabby for being 3 1/2 weeks early)
